Looks like it would be a lot more complex to implement in O Gauge than the previous model.

Those shared trucks would seem to dictate that the whole train truly would need to operate lot more like a system than as individual cars. 

I'm specifically thinking of tilt here, assuming that is still part of the design - would each truck need a tilt ability to impact both the lead car and the trail car?  Would that even be possible to implement without the cars having a conflict of the front is tilted and the rear is not?. 

Probably a good thing for the real train, but I can imagine nightmares in toy train land if it is ever attempted.

The NE Corridor is actually the only part of the Amtrak system that makes money. You have it backwards. Its the North East's profits along with tax dollars that subsidize the other long distance routes.
