Re: New battery needed on this subway?

Hi all
I have suddenly noticed a clanking sound coming from my R62 power car. I will later upload vid. I hope all that is needed is a battery change. But i did check the dcs remote and it says battery is ok. So i hope it is not that the motherboard is about to go. I also notice that it first starts out fine and i can hear the bell and horn. But after a little while the clanking sound starts and i can no longer hear the bell or horn.

It's a subway for gosh sakes! Almost any sound known to man plus few others might be heard therein.

Is it a mechanical sound or is it coming though the engine's speaker?

Are you running conventionally or through DCS?

What transformer are you using??

Its coming through the speakers
Running through DCS command mode.

Are you using the Z-brick alone or also the Z-Controller? If using the Z-Controller, remove it.

Also, is it a very soft clanking sound? If so, try turning off Clickety-Clak:

Menu/Sound/Clickety-Clak, set to off.

You are right as usual. It was the Clickety Clak sound. Never remember turning it on.
