Hopefully this is now the correct forum.

I have a new Docksider which my wife bought me for Christmas. I picked it up Saturday.

It is very nice, runs good forward and backwards, smokes well. I was able to run it on conventional and the Universal Remote. I had downloaded the Lionchief app in anticipation of it's arrival. With the Bluetooth switch set On I loaded the app, tapped the number and then search. The search box came up but it did not see the engine. "Number of engines - 0" is all I got. The UR channel is 2 but I had turned it off before I searched

Any ideas?

Frank

Frank,

I replied to your thread the other day before it was deleted but not sure if your saw it.

A few ideas:

Do you have another Bluetooth enabled loco to test to see if it works with that? Also, does your phone Bluetooth work OK with other devices? If you have an Android phone I know there were some early issues depending on phone version but I thought most of those were resolved.

Hoping others will weigh in.

Edit: Going to assume the answer is 'yes' since you just downloaded the LC App, but you do have latest version showing on your phone? Should be 2.6.05.

The call did not resolve the issue. It was very good call, Aaron knew his stuff. We checked everything. He says the Bluetooth in the engine is working and he thinks it is in the app. The Bluetooth indicator in the app is lit. He is sending it up to the app team. Will keep you informed.

At the risk of suggesting something you may have already tried...did you try deleting the App on your phone and re-installing? Another shot in the dark.

I would recommend that as well. The other thing is see what version of Android you are running and see if an update is available (normally phone providers auto update, but yours might not). If the phone otherwise works properly with other bluetooth devices it still could be the phone. One dumb question, did you try rebooting the phone and trying it again?
