The geometry of the 20" radius track and 10" straights is the same as the original Gilbert track, so any layout that can be made with Gilbert track can be made with FasTrack. Full and half sections are sold just as Gilbert track was. If you are using the 27"radius track the diameter of a circle is very close to 15" larger than the diameter of the nominal 20" track circle because these numbers are measured the old Gilbert way, not center to center. 15" is one full and one half straight so it remains modular. I have a lot of custom cut Gilbert track to make custom fitted passing tracks. The FasTrack can be cut, it is just more work because the extra roadbed length needs to be removed from the center of the plastic roadbed with the extra rail length cut from the ends of the rail. I have done this with the SHS track but not yet with FasTrack. My track plans seem to need a few 2.5"pieces. If the passing tracks include a half circle it is not necessary to cut any of the track to connect them.
