With prompting from OGR members, we have started to develop new sizes of our laser cut letter sets. After some experimentation, they will be available in 1/16" height increments starting at 3/16" tall. Arial Bold in 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" heights is in the store tonight. Others will be added as they are developed.
"Each laser cut character is 0.024” thick, 0.xxxx” tall and has adhesive transfer tape on the back. The material is Polybak, the backing for plastic laminate like Formica. The characters may be mounted on a paint stick, given a light priming with Krylon gray primer and then painted either by airbrush or spray can. The lot will come in a re-sealable bag with a cardboard backer."
All of the letter sets will be available in the retail packaging at York in October.
For the record, 1/8" tall letters may be possible in some fonts, but retrieving the letters from the laser bed is a challenge and in many cases the resultant material to represent some letters does not exist.
