Just purchased a new Lionel Legacy Mohawk. Love the whistle effects on this unit. Since I have not bought a recent legacy in a many years and I still don’t have a legacy control system I have a few questions if someone can advise. Thanks in advance.
1. Do these newer engines need batteries in the tender as I do not see this in the manual but have not taken the shell off to confirm?
2. In command mode, can you adjust volume as I have not found an adjusting knob/switch on the tender? I can adjust it when operating in Bluetooth mode. Did Lionel do away with this?
3. Even with some of my other engines, the manual only states to oil the engine. When do you have to ever grease it? It only has one screw port for access? Picture below. I don’t even know how to take out the grease like on a postwar unit.
