Got my new Lionel Legacy SW7 over the weekend. No problems found.  Ran great all weekend.  So with free time today decided to install the Kadees on the engine.  Lionel did supply a mounting bracket with screws.  This is not an operation if your not comfortable tearing into a new engine.  The hardest part was removing the remote control claw couplers.  You don't have to take the trucks off to do this.  You have to remove the body shell - a tight fit but it can be done.  Took about an hour, but when done the Kadees work great.  You will need to shim down the Kadee a little bit.  Per the Kadee height gauge tool the Lionel bracket has the Kadee a little high.  I had to use one shim (from Micro Mart) on each bracket to bring the Kadee down to match.  I have attached a photo showing were the RC claw couplers go on the circuit board.
