I bought 2 fast track switches 036 Remote/Command control switch and tried to wire it like the older ones by removing jumper and wire in aux . removed jumper wired to aux. on transformer switch will not work . But put in jumper and run off track power. works but needs full power to shift . that would make for a runaway train . any insight on this ???
Louie, this is a common issue. Many of these switches have the Aux Power and Track Power terminals positions reversed at the factory.
This thread discusses the issue in detail and some options of how to fix it. Reading to the end of the thread, the fixes get simpler. The easiest fix is to relabel the 2 power terminals. Track Power becomes Aux Power and vice versa.
