Have a bottle of newly opened Floquil gloss black paint that won't mix.  Have several new "old" bottles and I don't know if this is a common problem to all or not.

I cannot get the pigment to mix in the carrier.  I have stirred with a stick, stirred with a Badger mixer, shaken by hand, shaken mechanically, put in a water bath in an ultrasonic cleaner.  Nothing works, if I dip a brush in, all I get out is a slightly darkened clear liquid, what I'm calling the carrier.

Has anyone else experienced this, if so is their a solution?  I don't seem to have any problems with the Polly S water base paints.

Do you know vintage of Floquil this is? First generation in the square bottle that says thin with Dio Sol, second generation (~1990-92) says thin with Dio Sol or new thinner, third and current generation makes no reference to Dio Sol. I have not had this happen with any of them and I still have the Dio Sol version in liquid state.
