Dallas, awesome job on lighting the engine cab, the hobo fire , the observation deck and especially the conductor’s lantern. That has to be a first, there was a lot of work involved on that project.  Thanks for posting those pictures, I may try to attempt at least one of the four.

Artfull Dodger, I found them on eBay looking for Polar express stuff, they have plenty more.

I purchased the LED push in bulbs from Town & Country Hobbies for the individual lighting effects .  They have an interference fit in the plastic housing  and can be carefully pulled out with the resistor and I think diode already installed and just soldered into track power on my DCS Realtrax system through the already existing wiring in the engine and passenger car

The lantern carried by the figure on the roof was just one of the bulbs without the plastic housing .     I used very thin wiring and shrink tubing to run along the arm and body and down a hole in the roof of the passenger car and attached it to the OEM wiring .  (  I think on the Lionel , PE , the resistor side of the bulb had to go to the positive )        It isn't as perfectly precise as the figures in your post but it works well with the PE flying around  the rails  !  😨

All the passenger cars were converted to LED lighting using GRJ's lighting modules.

Made by Kinder, they need a little dullcoat to knock the shine off. The white spots are reflections. You even get Steven Tyler on the microphone. I think they look better than the articulated versions 909D85E7-F824-499C-9008-44FCC2C89871eitheD802E81C-E839-45DD-8958-082E8E0B0122BE744DA0-FDD2-4C79-804B-B0CF2975C4D25650F444-712E-4FAB-9672-328C9FEEDF75

I ordered this set and it came very quickly from Germany. The figures are very good looking and I am very pleased with the set.

Keith, am I correct that the stand for Steven Tyler only lights up? It would really have been cool if he sang "Rockin' at the top of the world"!
