New "The Lion Roars" Editor

I have had the great pleasure of meeting Mike AND now working with him!!  He is without a doubt qualified to take the Lion Roars to new heights!  Mike along with Al represent the best of what LCCA has to offer and we at OGR look forward to LCCA's bright future!  All the Best Mike!!

The LCCA is fortunate to have a volunteer with Mike's  background, skills, experience and demeanor.   Mike is going to do an outstanding job For the LCCA.  

Every article written in The Lion Roars is written by a member.  Mike can not do this alone.   We need our members to submit articles for future issues.  Everyone has at least one good story to tell.   We try to have balance with something in each issue for everyone.  If you like, pre-war,post-war, modern, American Flyer,  club related topics, LCCA Special Events, human interest stories etc, we have something in each issue For you. So please contact Mike or myself with your article ideas.   We can help you with the article writing process.

I have already worked with Mike McClintock on our latest S gauge article for TLR.  Mike is knowledgeable, helpful and a delight to work with in developing new stories.

If you have a an O gauge or S gauge story you want to tell, Mike is your man to make it happen. (That also includes Standard Gauge)

We are looking forward to doing more Modern Era AF stories for the LCCA in The Lion Roars with Mike.

I'm sorry, but I think that's a gratuitous and groundless slap.  I think Mark Boyd does a fine job with the TCA Quarterly.  

If you're going to make a comment like this, please let us know all the ways you think the TCA can "upgrade their publication".  At the very least, this would allow us to have a discussion.

The format of the entire publication is so 1970s-era.  "Who Done It?" Vol. 500.  Who cares?  Overall, its just a tiresome format and the front cover masthead really needs refreshing.  Put a copy of "Lion Roars" down next to "TCA Quarterly" and tell me which one looks more appealing.  I'm sorry if you think my opinion is "groundless."  But I have every right to hold it and express it.

Apparently I wasn't clear in my original comments.  Please let me request again (changes in bold italics):

please let us know all the specific ways you think the TCA can "upgrade their publication". 

Please don't call the TCA's document "tiresome". Please tell us EXACTLY how you YOU would make it un-tiresome.  Telling us that you think it "really needs refreshing" doesn't cut it.

Please also don't suggest we "Put a copy of 'Lion Roars' down next to 'TCA Quarterly'", as though your opinion is completely self-evident and 100% agreed upon by the rest of us.  It isn't and it isn't. Please cite any month/quarter of each document and, page by page, tell us how you think one document is inferior or superior to the other.

Yes, you have "every right" to hold your opinion, but you're doing a P*SS POOR job of expressing it.
