There is a new App just released by Apple to alert railfans when unique locomotives or consists (such as Heritage, 765, 611 etc) are near your device; the user is able to set parameters. The App sends an alert to your IOS letting you know when units are close by. The App is free!

Downloaded the app to my iPhone 6. Tried to register and it does nothing. Keep getting a pop-up asking "is this your email address" I answer yes but nothing happens.
Lost interest and deleted it.
Mine seemed to work on my iPhone 5c, but it said I have nothing interesting in the area (which I already knew)
For those using the App, please remember to post sightings of units in your area, as this App is interactive, and gets better as more people participate.
