New video posted on You-Tube

Had an amazing train day this past Wednesday, Jan 9-2019. I started off at my home club, TMB Model Train Club in Farmingdale NY. took some video of my Lionel BNSF and Santa Fe SD units on point for a freight consist. Later that day along with a few fellow club members we travelled over to NJ to visit the NJ HiRailers, (Ben and VInnie) to pick up a few trains Vinnie was repairing for us. While there I was able to get a guest run time and ran the same train from this morning. I was able to get some video of both the NY and NJ runs and combine them onto my You Tube channel. BTW I am new to video editing and I just purchased Microsoft ANIMOTICA. There is a free version with limited ability for download. I started with that then recently for $9.99 purchased the software rights to the full version. SO far I find it real easy to work with so if you are looking to expand you hobby interest into video, i can recommend this.

To answer your question, I used to use Windows Live MovieMaker (on a Windows 7 PC). I transitioned to iMovie because I lost MovieMaker after downloading Windows 10 and because I started shooting in 4K, which neither MovieMaker nor my PC could handle.

I use iMovie, but moving over to Final Cut Pro sometime this year.

I use Cyberlink PowerDirector 10, (current version is about 14, I think) and now only need to shoot more video, having recently figured out logos and YouTube thumbnails. My channel: (it may look woefully under-updated, but I'm slowly working toward more content)

For those looking to fool around with video editing at the lowest cost, there's ShotCut, which is free/opensource and is available for FreeBSD, Linux, OS X and Windows. Google the name for tutorials, I would have tried it out, but I already had Cyberlink

I was late to the hi-def party, and have only been making 1080P video since I couldn't find an export setting for 720P (which is what I default to for the most part). I will likely be much, much later to the 4k party.
