I have gotten some feedback on the windows for our Trackside Concrete Warehouse shadowboxes. We have designed seven new window configurations that involve removing a row or more of window frames and replacing them with masonry in the form of either concrete block or brick. That gives us 14 new window configurations! Samples of three of the windows plus the three inserted (unpainted) into a completed shadowbox are shown below.

Where is this headed? At York in October, you will be able to configure how your shadowbox will appear with the windows of your choice. Variety is the spice of life to these old buildings and no two of them have to be the same!

We have also been challenged to add a loading dock and doors to the first floor. That will take a little bit of redesign and we will most likely hold off on that until after York. If you have a prototypical photo sample of a loading dock door into a concrete warehouse and would like to see it modeled, please send it my way.

Lastly, I will consider offering the concrete warehouse in kit form at York if there is any interest. You would get all of the unassebled shadowbox and building front pieces, basically ready for painting. You would also get your choice of window styles that would be placed into the openings. As part of the kit introduction,I would like to host an instructional session at York on how to paint and assemble it. Let me know how you feel about that........

And......these new windows will be available for purchase soon under the SHOP portion of the website.
