I just received my new Premier FTs and have a couple questions.
They are supposed to be 3/2 convertible but they are not. The trucks have solid blocks so you can't swap the wheels to scale wheels. Looks like you used old tooling?
Catalog also said Kadee mounting pads but there isn't. Old tooling again?
Why a DCS/DCC switch on a 3 rail model? Especially since you can't convert it anyway.

To add to this question, why would the FT models be THAT different than the F3/F7 models?

If it is a MTH Railking F3 the switch is inside the body shell. Also you have to change the trucks to two rail operation. I suggest you contact MTH they will tell you how to switch the locomotive to two rail operation. As to the Kadee couplers I have no idea how to mount them

NOT Railing, and NOT "F3"! The post is specifically about FT models. Besides, the Railing products are NOT 2-Rail SCALE anyway.

No, you don't have to change trucks. A 3/2 convertible engine gets an axle swap that's it.
