How long did Just Trains own Korber Models?
NOT that long. I believe 1 yr Prior 2 Kirk's untimely demise at Just trains.
This is good news at a time of much higher motive power and rolling stock prices driven by added features as well as cost inflation. As a result I think in the near future an increasing number of o-gaugers will be directing more of their funds to building layouts and acquiring structures and scenery at comparatively more modest cost than equipment.
If this assumption is even partially true it bodes well for the new company. The "new Kober" Company prices will probably be some higher also as they start-up and restore the product line. But availability, itself, of this prime line of buildings has a value for me and others I know.
I wish them much success with their commitment of capital and sweat!
Very pleased to learn about this sale. I sincerely hope that this investment and committment will prove profitable. I will be sure to come by to meet with Rich (a fellow Ohioan), learn of his plans and offer a suggestion or two. (For whatever they're worth.)

Sorry Alex, errrr, Alan. Don't know what I was thinking or not thinking. Can't wait to see the finished transfer table. Don

a nice O scale church in brick or stone would fill this void...
Congratulations on your new business. I have serveral Korber models, and always enjoyed talking with Bob K. at shows. I would like to see the new company consider making big-city apartment/tenament buildings that would work well on many layouts. I was fortunate to use their electric company office building to closely approximate the Bronx apartment I grew up in. A multi-story cousin would be great.
Chuck, do you know about this company? They might have what your looking for. http://www.dslshops.com/ Don

Hey Don,
Could you e mail him a picture of your shell gas station?
If he made it I'd buy one for sure.
David
David, just sent it. Glad you like the Shell Station. These apartment building are fronts only but they are easy to finish with sides and back. The company also makes a three story back. Don

That Chuck guy is nuttin' but trouble, huh?
Hi Rich,
That is such great news. I've always been a fan of the Korber Models Kits and I hope you'll get them back on the market in the very near future. Looking forward to seeing your kits being avilable once again. Best of luck to you and your wife in your new adventure.
Chuck, Nuttin' but!

Good Luck Rich.
Hi Rich that's great news
good luck to you.
Thanks, Alex
Milford, OH has a familiar ring to it. Wasn't that the home of Davis Trains, one of the best train shops in the Mid-west? Dick
I agree Harry. Especially since Korber IS a forum sponsor.
I am temporarily locking this thread until I have a chance to talk to Rich at Korber Models. It's getting a bit off track and kind of weird (and impossible to follow), so I want to get the Korber folks to start a new one.
