There were five PRR steam engine types that were still around in 1949, the era of my layout, that I don't have.  Three have been made in O and one of these will be my next engine.

-Lionel's PRR E6 Atlantic in post WWII scheme.

-3rd Rail PRR S2.  It will need to be upgraded with ERR.

-3rd Rail PRR T1 Prototype sans fairings.  It will also need to be upgraded with ERR.

The other two I would buy if ever made:

-PRR K5

-PRR N2sa

I don't care about the maker, but please: no swinging bells, steaming whistles, dumping ash pans or flushing toilets.  Keep the electronics to a minimum, as I only run Conventional.  Make the price less than the average automobile, please.  Oh, yes, and a bit of quality control would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I know -- I must be smoking opium.

I like. Also, some of those funky D&H Wooten-firebox 2-8-0's could probably use the same frame, maybe boiler.

The D&H had some really sci-fi, compound, experimental steamers, also.

Well, I could do  without the K-5. I'm in the same boat with the T-1.

Re the N2s: it's a USRA heavy 2-10-2 with a Belpaire grafted on (oh, sure, there's more) and a Lines West tender. PRR had 130 of them, mostly serving west of Pittsburgh. So, 3rd Rail could offer the USRA standard loco AND the PRR-modified version. I can't recall ever seeing an USRA 2-10-2 in O. The chassis of the heavy 2-10-2 could be used for the light version, of which 94 were produced. maybe we could importune Scott to consider these..

I'm cool with that!

Also, a K-1sa, 2-10-2.

I, too, would like to see a scale Reading K-1 or even the Reading I-10 2-8-0.

Except for the T-1 and a limited run of Pacifics (by Weaver and SGL), there is a real lack of scale Reading locomotives.

I would like to see a I-10 or K-1 made by 3rd Rail.

I have my steam roster down to five locomotives.  The only Reading steam locomotives in my fleet are the Weaver Pacific and SGL Pacific.  I would pre-order either the I-10 or K-1 from 3rd Rail in a heartbeat.  I'm not interested in purchasing any other steam locomotives.

K-Line put out a commuter locomotive, a 4-6-6T Suburban tank engine many years ago. I have several and they are great! I would love one with upgraded Legacy electronics. Even better, an additional model, a 2-4-4T like this one, called a D2a, it was used in the New York City area in the early 1900's up until 1926.

NYC D2a

I like small steam locomotives and this one would be a lot of fun.
