  • Representing late production NW2's, these locomotives shared many details with the slightly
more modern SW7. The primary spotting features of the arched cab windows and shorter front
radiator intake remained however, to tell them apart from the SW models. Delivered in the
1950s, there are still representatives of this type in active service today. The perfect switcher for
your yards or locals, Lionel's NW2 features numerous road-specific details, including handrail
placement and roof details. Unparalleled slow-speed performance and sounds deliver the
experience of a hard day's work switching on the railroad. Road names and paint schemes
offered on this run range from the 1950s to the 2000s - something for everyone!

You guys are killing me - what happen cheaper beer reefers Just ordered one. Back when I lived in the Bath Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn and was commuting to work in Manhattan, whether driving along Shore Road or taking the X28 express bus, I could see the Brooklyn yards of NYNJ Rail from the Gowanus. Gotta add to my Brooklyn fleet!!! Looks like another winner guys.

Thanks for the purchase.   And keep your eyes peeled.  They'll be more beer reefers coming down the line.

Engine arrived Friday, and I had my first chance to run it yesterday. Runs well, slow and smooth like a switcher should, and the paint is sharp. It's a good match for the Cross Harbor boxcar the NLOE did a few years ago as well.

I hope you guys consider doing Cross Harbor S-4 #11 for a future custom run, in the later blue and teal scheme. This was a stock S-4 that Lionel has the tooling for. Unfortunately, no one in O makes an S-1 to represent the ex-BEDT Alcos (#21, 22, and 25).
