Letting my unbridled enthusiasm go, it would be fantastic to have the 765 tow the 757 to Ohio! Double headed NKP Berks!

I was thinking the same thing. But the costs would kill it even if the RRs allowed it.

Apparently, she is somewhere between Enola and Altoona as of right now. Last seen in Enola around 3 PM. Two Horsehead GP units pulling her and the 783 caboose. Keep an eye out at the Horseshoe Curve Cam and on the NS PA radios via online scanners and listen for NS H27. 

She was being pulled in reverse with the caboose behind it.  

The 757 is planned to be wyed in Enola, and head west from there. (I assume it must be wyed for the spot its going in Bellevue) 

There is more than one mainline wye in Bellevue and the original NKP turntable was still in place at last count - unknown if it is still in service.

Just based off of info i heard. Not sure they wanted to wye the locomotive asap for the public to see or what.

As far as I know.  

So to move it they would have to disconnect the linkage somehow?  Thank you in advance.

Yes, the main rods and eccentric rods have been removed. Thus the 25 MPH speed restriction, as the drivers are now "out of balance" with the main rod on each side removed.

Hey Tom, Jr:  I take it that she'll have to pass through CLE at some point.  Will you be chasing this at all, on either the East or West Side?

It wouldn't be double headed really. It would be  a well maintained NKP 765 dragging a cold, dead, rusty, 757. 

 And ....with 765 limited to the 25mph speed limit because of 757......... it would be even less "fantastic".

Not nearly as fantastic as an actual double head with 2 talking stacks.

I'm pretty sure that PM 1225 and NKP 765 doubled headed a few years back on a fall outing in MI or WI, IIRC.  (I'm backed up at work otherwise I'd provide better info.)

Pere Marquette 1225 and NKP 765 have certainly looked and sounded great together.  Hope that happens again sometime soon!

Is there a published schedule I would love to see it on the Horse Shoe Curve live camera ? 

the website or page of the Bellevue group mentions keeping the move quiet/secret for security/safety reasons....or whatever you want to call it.

ergo, i'm hitting Tom Jr up for some info.

To answer your question, no.  This is mentioned in some of the links.  Public safety concerns, among other things, were sighted for the lack of a schedule.
