Guys, I have always said that MMR is like a doctorate of model railroading. It takes desire and commitment to earn. Lack either, and you'll come up short. Like any degree, you come out well "rounded" in many areas at the end of the process. If it was easy, everyone would do it.

MWB gave the answer to Allan's question more than a week ago. There's little point for further discussion. If you have that much passion on this subject, why not channel it toward a certificate or two? I'm slowly and quietly working a few as I build my layout. I may fall short, but I'm having fun, and that's what really matters.
