All of the above to some extent. My permanent S Scale railroad is DC and DCC, selected by the block toggles. The E8's right now are DC.
I've converted a couple of SHS and AM locomotives to DCC, but don't have an organized conversion "plan" and it's not a high priority. I'm just as happy running with DC as I am with DCC.
When I have my HiRail adventures, (meaning a couple of loops of track on the floor at Christmastime) it's AC or TMCC (or DCS if they're O gauge loops.)
