At what point is it too much snow that they can't just plow through it?

It's not uncommon for steep snow banks to lift the uncoupling leaver and deep snow can also lift hose  air hoses causing them to disconnect putting the train into emergency.  Frozen  ice  can derail a engine pretty quickly  however on a busy mail line it's not likely. (snowmobile crossing,, road crossing)   Snow banks at crossings can lead to a rough ride in the caboose  with the slack action, ...

Good morning Tom, it's surprising that with the amount of snow the head engine is pushing before the engine hit the packed snow at the grade crossing that the front truck did not want to ride up over the snow and come off the rail.

Dry fluffy snow I guess.

I was also surprise the train seems to be traveling at speed with petroleum cars in it's consist.

Be a heck of a ride !!!!!!!!!!!
