And also to add from this past Saturday June 20th, 2020 was video + photo I recorded in Madison Ohio of long NS Norfolk Southern eastbound freight train 310 with 169 cars / 700 Axles lead by new NS AC44C6M #4289 with a good Nathan raised letter 5 chime K5LA train horn, Blue NS AC44C6M #4000 + mid DPU distributed power units ES44AC's #8062 & #8132.  Along with video + photos of NS Norfolk Southern westbound Nuclear Cask 056, 2 DODX multi axle flatcars + DODX Caboose lead by SD70ACC #1802 with Nathan 5 chime K5LA train horn & AC44C6M #4056.

After a little research, yes in fact that cask is for long term dry storage of spent fuel assemblies after cooling in a plant's spent fuel pool.  The stations I worked at were no where close to a full spent fuel pool so I never got to see that operation of transferring cooled spent fuel assemblies to this type of storage cask.

That caboose is DOD, it contains big burly men with big scary guns.

It is being loaded, There are no trees growing were it is going in Nevada.

Looked as though that train was moving at a fast pace, I bet it gets the green light to where it is going all the way.
