absolutely no issues with with either wheel spec on AtlasO track. I have zero derailments in O scale if the wheels and track are in gauge. The key is to not settle for sloppy track.
Also recommend hand laying turnouts using Lou Cross's cast frogs and points for reason of appearance, reliability, and lower cost than AtlasO.

I've had 0 problems with the NWSL wheels and Atlas track.
Basically, cars up to a 50 to 55 ton or so capacity would be on 33" diameter wheels. Those above that weight (70 tons or more) usually rolled on 36" diameter wheels. Also besides the larger wheels, heavier cars also had larger axles and
journal bearings, whether solid or roller.
