Anyone combine both on their layouts? Will you share any track plans or photos?

johnshorse,
I've been running both for over twenty-five years. My layout is, 12' X 24'. It's not as hard as it sounds. My O-Gauge loops are elevated above the Std. Gauge. I tried to fashion my layout after Lionel's 1936 Showroom Layout. I have an original Lionel magazine with the layout diagram. If I can find the magazine, I'll gladly fax or mail you a copy. If I'm not mistaken CTT included an article about the early layout in their Lionel Showroom Layouts publication.
Thanks. Fax is 610 826-7110

Pappy,
Can you tell me what issue of "The Lionel Magazine", "Model Engineer" or "Model Builder" it was in?
BTW The diagram in Carp's book is an approximation of the actual layout. It's missing one siding by the 155 Freight Station.

Yes. Here is my 8x16 layout
Chris, that is absolutely fantastic. You have done a great job. I've been looking at the racing cars. Any problems? Can you buy extra track for them?
Thanks Chris, I can understand why you wanted to go all tinplate, you layout has everything. That fire station is really something. Never seen one before.
That is a really slick layout, Chris. Lots of little scenes to look at, and smooth running trains. You have a great "Man Train Cave" there. I like the race cars, but I seem to remember they weren't cheap.
Chris, it's nice that you had the space to run your O gauge track outside the Std gauge circuit. so many times you see the mixture of O31 inside S42 loops, where the standard gauge train shadows its smaller cousin seemingly more than half the time. great job!

Thank you. I like to see all the trains running so I wanted the bigger standard gauge behind the O gauge.

Some really first class tinplate layouts here! Definitely a feast for the eyes!
