It has been talked about over on some of the Yahoo traction/trolley groups...being done by Mike Bartel of IHP - if you look at all of the other stuff he's doing you'll find a Brill Bullet and several others in O scale.

"...with a matte finish and slight grainy feel."

I had seen a couple of other O scale shells back in August that looked great until you had them in you hand and could feel the pebbled surface from the printing.

Add a Q-car drive and an interior detail set, and some exterior details.....figure $400 after paint, etc.

Yep-Got the Brill Bullet. And a pair of GHB trucks with which to power it. In the infinite que.

A first primer coat with sandable primer to cure this?

Puts it in the class of St Petersburg models before you add power trucks.  Looks like if you want trolleys at a "reasonable" cost you have to make 'em yourself. Look at what old kits sell (or have asking prices for) on ebay

I have a Brill Bullet as well, but mine is all resin.  I did not know that GHB made the correct trucks for this car!  I have the proper side frames and was going to see about Q-car for a drive.

I don't know about the primer and sanding to finish them out - working around the rivets that you just spent $'s to buy and some of the fine details seems dicey.....

Almost all of my trolleys are either scratch or kit built (La Belle, Ashland, Copetown, etc.).  Precious few RTR trolleys available.....but then I derive a lot of enjoyment from the building and creative process that drives that part of the hobby for me.

I talked to these folks several months ago about advertising since it seemed that we were having some interest in this kind of model.  Nothing yet but I will be following up.  Frankly, from what I have seen while in my hand, the finish is not quite there yet and many folks may require additional refinements in the surface before painting...

Mine came with the sideframes when I bought it from IHP.  I'm not sure where you would begin to look for the correct ones.

Without 3 rail drive systems that do not exist, I'm not sure what real interest exists for body shells that have to have all of the interior and exterior details added, etc. - I'm not sure what interest really resides in the 3-rail arena....  The vast majority of the the trolley/traction world already has its own information network.

Not sure of your meaning- GHB sells a version of their PCC trucks set up for three rail (e.g. 3rd rail between the running rails)

If it's a model of a piece of equipment you hafta have -like the Bullet-then you'll but it and ante up for the rest of the bits you need. And, as I recall, IHP sold out of the initial (limited) run of of the Bullet; I'd be surprised if I'm not the only West Coast fan to get one.

Ok, learned something - GHB sells a drive.  Other than the old Bowser // Pittman  and older Walters (and All-Nation) adaptations, is there anything else?  What wheelbases are available from GHB?  I could use several drives of rather short wheel base but would also need side frames -- GHB has those??

Not sure what the size of that production run was, but it was relatively small.  Limited audience/market for traction items, and fold in O scale as a variable and smaller yet.

Several Yahoo groups exist for traction and trolleys that are fairly active.  West coast sort of limits your ability to get to the East Penn meet next year.  What are you looking for?

I had a problem with the GHB PCC 3-rail drive.  I use Super Streets.  Runs fine on straight track, but stalls on the curve.  Looks like the motor hangs up on the center rail on the curve.  The center rail is just a little higher than the running rails. Just

high enough to cause the problem, by what I've been able to determine.

I wish someone would resume making the PHM drive.  I like them.
