O scale cherry trees | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am trying to decide what to do on the back corner of my layout. I was going to make it a wooded area, but I was thinking of having a cherry orchard instead. Cherries are gown in the northing LP of Michigan along Lake Michigan and that is where my layout is based.

Anyone sell any O scale cherry trees?

Maybe find a suitable tree, and then dust it with Woodland Scenics apples?

Using 3/4ths of an inch as a rough estimate of the diameter of a real-life cherry, the scale cherries would be 0.015625" in diameter.

That's fifteen thousandths of an inch. The head of a standard straight pin is 0.06" so 4 of your cherries would fit on the head of a pin.

I am modeling mid summer, so I guess a standard orchard tree would work.
