I know that an O42 switch track is made or was made by Lionel in O27. Is there one made in "O". Tubular track.

K-Line K-375 & K-376 / K-0375 & K-0376.
I presume the K-Line versions are no longer made. I did a quick search of some hobby suppliers and found zilch. I'll try Evilbay. Here's a picture of an O42 Lionel O gauge switch. I see five binding posts. Why five ?

Three for the controller and two for power, maybe?

Check out patstrains.com he had some RMT 072's and might have some 042's left also. He wanted 79.95 each for the RMT K-Line low voltage switches. One word of advise, have Pat test the switches before shipping them to you, for some reason RMT had a problem with their RH Switches, one of then men I know had to return all his RH Switches to Walter, they would not function correctly no matter how we set them up, all his LH switches worked perfectly however. I believe the 2nd batch did the same thing and he had to return all his switches to Walter. Looks like there may have been a bad batch of RH RMT switches made. This is really a bummer, the original K-Line and RMT low voltage switches were bullet proof stuff, for many many years.

A forum member (not me) has a pair for O gauge Switches 0-42 switches for sale based on the K-Line tooling pictured above:
Try Western Depot as they had some K-Line track for sale and a few switches, look under K-Line and then K-Line track. They may even have some early Lionel/K-Line switches in 042.

Same connections as a regular Lionel 022.
They are, from the motor housing out:
1)Common Ground / Outside Rails.........\_

5)Hot/Center Rail
Prewar American Flyer O-gauge had switches with O40 curves, compatible with standard tubular Lionel track. I got some manual versions for free but had to do repairs on the manual-throw mechanisms. I'm using them for spur tracks. The no-frog configuration (like Marx) has the advantage of electrical continuity on all rails all the way through the switch.
