How do you deal with using a O72 switch as part of a larger O72 curve? I don’t what to use the filler piece because it throws off the geometry of the curve. But the O72 curve doesn’t fit because the filler roadbed is cut. Do you trim the roadbed from the adjoining O72 curve?

I have cut the curve to fit, but it is very hard to get a not visible match. Only you will notice it if you put the 1 3/8 section in there, I guarantee it. The gap you are liable to get with a homemade cut will stand out a lot more. Second picture is without section.
Yep. Hobby razor saw. Or a fine toothed hacksaw blade.
