Hi all,

I have a Lionel Santa Fe Northern (TMCC version, 6-38055), which had a dead Odyssey DCDS board when I got it. I took it to the only authorized Lionel repair tech in my area, and he replaced the DCDS board and also said he redid a lot of the wiring in the engine.  After I got it back from him a few months ago, I didn't have any problems with it.  Today, it just randomly started exhibiting the same problem it had when I first got it: it won't move at all, though it's still accepting all other TMCC commands.  So I'm guessing that the DCDS board went out again, only 5 months or so after I got it back from being fixed.  Does the assessment that the DCDS board went out again sound correct, and if so what might have caused that?  I should also note that I tried it in conventional and still couldn't get it to move. I'm using a postwar ZW with fast acting fuses and TVS diodes for protection as well as Legacy and DCS.

Thanks!
