I have babbled on here about building structures (and showed some of the

rolling stock "critters" I've created), so now I am going to show some of

the structures I have scratchbuilt, kitbashed, and modified. This is one I

build from photos of one at Ophir, Colo. (which had disappeared on my last

trip..should be illegal to tear down history)

Dunno yet, but I think some is commercially packaged, but that just may be red

iron ore (hematite).  Somebody on here I owe thanks to told me about using

safflower seeds for model sugar beets, and that solved a more uncommon problem.

I remember a lot of slick, shiny iron pyrites (fool's gold), when I have been climbing

around old Colorado mine sites.  I could break up chunks of that with a hammer if

I don't find something else that resembles what I've seen.
