I have 2 original Lionel 624 switchers that I bought at least 35 years ago. They are absolutely like new with the following exception. One has no magnatraction and the other has light magnatraction. They have been cleaned greased oiled etc etc and the wheels have been all cleaned. They are very powerful running wise but slip all over the track. They have no traction at all. I am using gargraves track.
I can't tell if the frames are bent or what. I tried a 6250 Seaboard Switcher and it runs fine. I can't remember any trouble with my 6220 or 622.
Please advise if you have any suggestions on getting these engines to run and actually pull cars.
