I have a K-line GG1 with TMCC.   The antenna is connected to the pantograph mounts.  There is a note warning you to disconnect the antenna if you are going to make the pantographs active pickups.

As I was running, at higher speeds, when it went through a switch it would come to a dead stop, sound light working.  Barely touch the throttle and it would go back to the original speed.

Over 3 hours I did all the normal, resetting the TMCC boards and plugs.  Checking for bad capacitors or any other burnt looking or overheating item.  Nothing.  Without the cab on it ran fine, no problems.   With the cab on, it ran fine, no problems.   With the Pantographs up no problems.  They had 8 new insulators also.   I found when I put the Pantographs down, the problem came back.  Nothing appeared to touch the cab, but one part of the mechanism got very close.    I adjusted by bending the insulator ends down to give a little more clearance.  Problem went away.    I am not an antenna expert, but I know grounding the antenna on the body is not good.

I think I am going to disconnect the antenna from the pantographs.  I don't need the extra antenna and I don't want to run into the problem again.
