I believe you can get on MTH's catalog mailing list for a 1 time fee of $5. If you are a member of their club, the catalogs are sent no charge.

Lionel sends catalogs to its Lionel Club members as well.

You can probably get a Weaver catalog by request and perhaps Williams by bachman

Dont know about Atlas.

At York, most of these catalogs are often available as handouts from these companies exhibits.

additionally, you can access the catalogs on the manufacturers websites.

I paid the $5 and mine still stopped from MTH?

As far as the Lionel Club are you referring to the LCCA?? I checked their website and under "Member Benefits" they do not list catalogs.

Can anyone verify the LCCA members get catalogs?
LOTS members get Lionel catalogs.

Manufacturer supported clubs such as those of Lionel,MTH,Atlas and Williams will send catalogs for the year of membership.

When you pay the $5.00 you paid for one catalog.

If you have a dealer that you regularly buy from they will usually give you a catalog when you are in the store or request it when placing an order.
It wouldn't hurt to try sending them an email request, but you would probably get a better response from a dealer, at least that is how I recieved the most recent Tinplate catalog. I have also made it a point of picking them up at York.

IMHO, with the catalogs being posted online I could see where they would eventually stop printing altogether. Recently the catalogs don't seem to mean much as far as production is concerned. Over the past few years they seem to serve more as a wish book for manufacturers than for consumers.

I used to get MTH's catalog but had them stopped after a few years. They would be sent out, from what I remember, quite sometime after the catalog had been released at York, to Dealers and online. I usually (and still do) pick up the catalogs from my LHS who has it as soon as it is available and no waiting around X amount of weeks for one to show up in the mail. If you can get it from your LHS, I recommend doing so.
I get, from various sources, 4 copies of every new catalog that Lionel
puts out. 4. (Funny; I don't buy Lionel much anymore. If Big -New- Steam returns, I'll be back.)

I get, from two sources, two copies of every MTH catalog. 2.

I get every new Weaver catalog.

I no longer get Atlas catalogs (basically that's OK).

The extra copies I give to friends and/or sell at swap meets for a couple of dollars.

The Williams flyers have disappeared in general, I suppose. Used to get all of them, as was true
of the 3rd Rail flyers.

So don't tell me that they don't mail paper copies of catalogs anymore.
Thanks everyone. My son showed interest in having some catalogs to look at but I didn't want to pay for them if possible. Williams and Weaver both charge on their website and MTH and Lionel include them in their clubs. I'd have to call them to see if they send one for free.

I'll try the local hobby shop route too.
I get paper catalogs from all the manufacturers. They must know that and old guy like me has trouble reading from a CRT screen. Has been no problem; the catalogs all arrive in the mail. I get multiple copies of some of them, which is OK because I can put one in the downstairs john and one in the upstairs. I can never "look up" something on a computer screen. Need those paper catalogs and I'm not much worried about a couple of trees.
