I have the TMCC Lionmaster Challenger, and I pull MTH 5-Car 70' Madison Passenger Set - UP (yellow & gray), they are 18" in length. (20-4052)

Here is a video from a while back, I personally am OK with the look but that's me. I have learned that in this hobby, what is OK to me, is an eye sore to others.

Please excuse the dark start, I wanted to show the interior lights as best as I could as well as any incorrect info I say LMAO I sometimes say things on camera that are wrong because I feel I am under pressure.

I hope this helps!

Daniel, are you suggesting the 18" could be seen as too long?

Going to pull out the PE cars for a visual.

Not at all, just saying that what might look prototypical to me might not look the same to others. I personally think the 18" cars look perfect behind the Lionmaster Challenger, this is my opinion and others might not agree.

Being that this is a semi-scale locomotive, I decided to not go with 21" cars as I felt it would make the locomotive look too small.

Hope this helps!

I run Lionel aluminum 15" streamlined passenger cars behind mine, and they look perfect. If you want to run 15" heavyweight type cars, Lionel hasn't made much in that department, to my knowledge, so you'll need to look at MTH. Atlas O also makes 15" heavyweights in the Trainman line; I have a set of those, and they're really nice. Might be a little hard to find a complete set, though (cars individually sold). While the LionMaster Challenger is very flexible, I think 18" cars look too large, and anything longer would be even worse. Just my opinion.
