Thanks allot Marty. I'm blaming you. You gave me the "E" BUG. It all started a few weeks ago with seeing your layout video's. It started with the chills, then a cold sweat, then the fever set in. The search began for a GG1 and any other E's that caught my eye. I never thought I would get hooked on Electrics. Well I went to the Allentown show this weekend and found some. Bought, not one, but two. So here I go on the high wire adventure. By the way, when does the fever break?

Sorry Dave, it doesn't... Just with GG-1's, you've got the tuscan version, the brunswick green, single stripe, five stripe, old rivets, and so on... and so on...

And, at some point, you will start thinking about an Acela. Welcome to the slippery slope - watch out for the banana peels

When I was 7 about 1960 my dad took me for a ride to I believe Paoli and when we left to return back to Philly the conductor told my dad that he is welcome to take me into the front vestibule which was a great adventure for me. I think it was on Thanksgiving evening.  I also had a girlfriend when I was 17 that lived right near Merion Station and we rode them many times downtown.
