Headed to Philly today. Any suggestions on places to look at train stuff?

Nicholas Smith Trains in Broomall west of downtown Philadelphia. Huge store of 3 rail trains.
I LOVE Nicholas Smith Trains! It is a great train store for all scales! I sometimes even work there. If you are going their, ask for Joey and tell him Max sent you.
There's always Henning's Trains in Lansdale.
Lin's Junction is HO and G, no O-scale stuff. However, they are in the same building as Henning's, so it's two-fer if you stop there.
Just Trains in Delaware is not that far from Philly.

Oh wait..are they on the first floor through the doorway? LOL
Unfortunately traveling on a Saturday led to an obstacle that I couldn't overcome...Time. Everything was closed by the time I got here.
The good news...I don't leave till 2pm on Monday. So I have some time. Considering everything opens up at 10am, Hennings is a bit too far for this trip (looks to be about an hour from the airport). So Nicholas Smiths it is.
Gunrunner, I'll plan better next time...I'd like to see the store
Chris frequently has used stock in the back. Ask for an escort.
Chris also has a total recall of just about everything available
It's true about Nicholas Smith. I've bought new-old stock that was 10 years old. Its not on display .... you have to ask.
I drive down to Philly every 3 months, and always include a trip to NS trains. I usually fuel up with a cheesesteak sandwich at the adjacent Thunderbird Diner before going in to check out all the trains.
Well, Monday I'll be on the plane coming back from LV, so you wouldn't see me there anyway.
Ha! I'll see ya at the airport
Both nice stores, and they are open when they say they will be unlike a store south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Very true... But now that it's summer, Chris tends to spend more time at the Jersey shore. Chances are you won't see him at the store. But Joey will take good care of you.

Excellent stop but I always make it there after the train store. Cheesesteak sub and french fries can put you to sleep.

Yes Bob, one needs to put enough hot cherry peppers on the roll, sleep is not what the body wants after layer of those firecrackers.

John,
A milkshake is a good antidote for the hot peppers.

Yes .. mmmm ... a shake, with the cheesesteak (onions. hot peppers, sharp provolone, & pizza sauce on mine)
What a wonderful day it is for me when I visit Nicholas Smith .... my low- fat/cholesterol/sodium diet gets holes shot through it, and I buy toy train stuff.
I usually hit Joe's Train station on Street Road in Feasterville. The only problem with Joe's is that I never leave there empty-handed. Good luck in your search.
Wanderer - If you are planning for next time and you are thinking about going to Henning’s, consider this: Henning’s is about a 10 minute walk from the Lansdale SEPTA station. Bussinger Trains (in the old Ambler station) is on the same SEPTA line across the street from the new Ambler station. You can change trains in Philly and take the SEPTA airport line directly to PHL. But don’t try this tomorrow…Bussinger isn’t open till 2:30 weekdays and Henning’s isn’t open on Mondays this time of year
I withheld from eating a cheese steak...mostly out of consideration for the people who have to sit next to me on the plane this afternoon.
Next trip to PHL will definitely include time for a stop at Hennings
But for now, I'm off to Chicago, then Pittsburgh, then home.
Thanks for the tips everyone!!! I really appreciate it!!!
