It doesn't. That's why I posted the hopper photo to follow the previous entry by pd.

Photo Chain Game
Here is an activity that should be fun, easy, and low stress. All it requires is that you can post photos; and use a little creative imagination.
Each time that you visit this thread take a look at the most recent photo posted. Then post a photo that has something similar in it. Use your stored photos, or take a photo that has a similar element. This will create a link in the chain of photos. In one word, or take several if necessary, name the element in your photo that can be found in the previous photo.
Some suggested guidelines:
Be sure that the photo is yours (no borrowing from someone else’s site or Google Images)
Please try to post photos of items that are yours or were yours.
There has to be at least one entry between any entry that you make and the next one that you make. So: Joe can make a post, but he has to wait for someone else (Moe?) to make a post before he makes a new link in the chain, using an element from Moe’s post.
Let’s try to keep all photos in the realm of model trains. While I am starting this in the Tinplate forum, because that is where I hang out, anyone from any forum or gauge or era, illustrating any manufacturer or handmade element can contribute.
Please be sure that captions are brief, and that every post has a photo in it.
If you have a question or a comment about a post try to keep it brief, or start a new thread with a copy of the photo about which you have a question, and then ask the question. (We’ll see if this guideline works)
The goal is to keep the chain going without any breaks
Be creative in your links.
Most of all, let's have fun.
Greg
Sorry! I never read the rules! Actually, I didn't know about the rules before your post above - I must plead ignorance!
Apologies for rocking the boat, or actually the train of thought here...

stangtrain,
First of all I want to thank you for participating in the thread. You have added some great photos and added to the fun and the challenge.
Secondly, there is no need for an apology. It gave me a chance to post the guidelines again and refresh the memories of all the folks who post here.
Third, Thanks to all of the folks who post here. I look forward to each day and the posts that appear on the thread. I had no idea that it would still be running after all these years.
And finally to follow the guidelines myself:

Following station platforms and Boxcab Electrics.
Lionel 256 was introduced in1924. Lionel was rubber stamped on the side. This model, with brass nameplates was a 1927 revision; which also included the addition of working brass pantographs, brass whistles, and brass bands on the air tanks.
Edit to include station platform.
Stangtrain got in there while I was assembling my post.

Well I am not sure I am responding to @stangtrain (P.S. yes you got it right, great picture by the way) or @pennsyfan. Which means I need a box cab electric AND a station platform. So here you go, its the best I could do. A box cab electric approaches the station platform (extreme upper rt in the picture). This one is a Hornby Hatchette 0 P0 loco (Hatchette like MTH and Williams Lionel tinplate repro's did the same for Hornby of the 1950's in the late 1990's).
Best wishes
Don

@pennsyfan - Bob, you got that right! Big John it is...you may remember I commented to you that whenever I traveled I tried to bring home "something" for the trains. Well about 2 years ago, the wife and I traveled to Ireland and the only thing I could find was that outsized cast figure...so he had to go somewhere
