Stephen, God Bless you! That was the toughest day of my life followed after (2yrs) by my mother. We all must face it.

 It's great to have a rewarding hobby to enjoy.

I almost went to Australia with INXS. At the last couple of US shows they told us they couldn't take us with them. I have met many good people from there and think I would have enjoyed it. Joe

It's been 2 1/2 years since I lost my best friend (my dad) it feels like 2 and half lifetimes ago since I last seen him. I feel your hurt & pain, it will get easier with time but the miss will always be there. Just keep in mind although they have moved on to bigger and better things, they are never too far away and closer to us then what we think.

Sorry for your losses. One of the last things my father told me was he wished he was well enough and would live long enough to see my traincollection and see the layout finished.

Thanks for the kind thoughts every one!  I always thought I handled death pretty good, but when Its your Dad its different,my dad was a good man and thats something to be grateful for, he was a good example of all that was good! Im grateful for that.

Yeap, It's got PS3. I'll have to check it out! I forgot that it did. It is my first. When I was looking at the owner brochure, it had some changes that tipped me off. Keep the track and wheels clean! CV programming?? Let's see how she gets along with old ones. Matt says she will. Good Doggies! May have to change the road # for my Clinton project.

 Mike P's problem is discussed in the manual as the unit will sit in neutral in conventional at first power on. I forgot to see how or if he got a solution?

 I'm excited to see the lack of a battery. Several people state the battery doesn't matter however several of my engines performance seems battery charge related? I may wish to upgrade the fleet.

 Yeap, got a C&O and a Chessie in there!!!  The Allegheny is on it's dedicated siding. It was supposed to be a "runaround track".

 I grabbed the BN caboose at Aurora hobbies because it matched the presidential paint scheme to me. Nobody tell me different, please.

Ok nice....I like the cab.  The paint is very cool.  I really like that entire facility there.

This one showed up at my office Monday. Yes, it has scale wheels. I put the rollers on it and did a test run. It WILL negotiate a 36" radius (O-72 in three-rail speak) curve. I'll post a review on the 3-rail side of the house. I'm going to take this one and a couple of other Proto-3 engines to a friend's 2-rail layout to see how they behave under DCC control.

Here's an idea-a Blue Goose painted in the infamous pumpkin scheme of BNSF-sort of heritage in reverse.

It's sad that I'm playing with the camera more than the trains!

 Stephen, I'm looking forward to see how you get the electro couplers to trigger the KDs. I wanted to get a SD45 and try that very thing. I looked at the couplers and gave up. Scale engines keep popping up on sale and curve my choices. I may just add track magnets for the KDs like my old HO layout. Now that's a shame!

 Thanks Mike. Someone told me that before. I forgot about it. It was sandwiched in a consist so long that I didn't even see it! Another bottle of paint will be needed.

Mike.      I  would say some one would have ordered the SD 50 with fixed pilots and two rail wheels. (PS3) but I just bought the two rail wheels and replaced the three rail set. Its now awaiting the pilots to be fixed.

 Joe   Some one has already figured the kadee solution but with TMCC ,I cant remember who to give credit for this, I have pics  Ill post later could be an interesting project. But mean while there's nothing wrong with holding your DCS remote and cutting manually. I love that you can just walk along with that train with DCS (All for $300 dollars)

I'm in the same boat. I've bought two scale-wheeled engines I hadn't planned on buying. As for the CNW SD70ACe, MTH had the wrong color on the plow. Fortunately for me, I have several CNW locomotives with the correct green plows so I just swapped mine. I'm trying to track down a 2-rail CNW SD70ACe (got a couple of leads) and deciding what to do with my 3-rail unit.

Thanks guys! You have me traveling down an expensive road, even potentially replacing favorite locomotives. Next thing you know I'll have a secret stash of Atlas 2-rail track hidden in the closet.

Just converted to two rail! What a difference those scale wheels make!
