Plastruct Cobblestone sheets painting help | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I've never painted the cobblestone sheets and I tried the brick sheets once following Plastructs suggestions for painting and ended up throwing them way. Anybody have a better method than plastruct and wouldn't mind sharing it. I was just going to hit the sheet with a tan color and recolor some stone by hand but I don't know how that would work out.

Your plan is a good one. One trick is to use different-colored felt markers for the individual stone colors. Best to do a light final spray-paint dusting afterwords to deemphasize the individual colors.

I started this around 2AM and finished around 4:30, It still needs a wash or 2. I started with craft acrylic Khaki tan and added a drop of Raw Umber after each group of stones. I like your idea better.
