I need to order several of these switches for my layout accessories. They come with Lionel accessories and have the feature of operating either as a momentary push on or if you slide it forward it remains in the on position. I want just generic (not Lionel).

What is the real name for these type of switches so I can order them from Digikey or Frye's or... I would prefer a Forum Sponsor if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

John

So that looks like the Lionel 5903-1.

I am not aware of a "generic" term/name for on-off switch that can be activated either momentary or toggle. Electrically speaking this is just 2 SPST switches in parallel.  Given the somewhat large footprint, I'd think the economical and practical route is to individually find a suitably sized momentary SPST and slide/toggle SPST and pair them.
