...since the admin seems to prefer that way...when in rome...
It's not necessarily that I prefer it that way. If you upload directly here, there are options available to display your images that you don't have with linked photos hosted elsewhere. They can be displayed larger here and if you post several images, they will automatically present themselves as a slide show, if you choose to look at them that way. You can't do any of that with linked images.
Rich, the amusing part is your picture link is no good!
Yeah...I know. That's embarrassing! The link to MY OWN picture was broken!
I fixed it.
Rich, actually I just noticed that when I posted the pics up this afternoon...a nice option for the direct upload route...and thanks for that, your input on this and your time sir..you probably don't hear that enough I'd bet.
Rich - forget it, I figured it out, somehow. Thanks.
Rich I am having trouble with click 3. After I select the picture I want to post I can not find an OPEN choice to click on. I am using Window XP SP3.
Thanks for your help.

Did you double click on the folder, click the pic you want and then double to open it...I don't think about it that much anymore, but if one click won't do it, give it a second....clicks are cheap- trains aren't!
0-4-0 pulling cookie consist, all built by my 13 year old Grand Daughter for my birthday Sunday. Slight hot box problem on the cab observation car.
Hmm, obviously not enough filling in the stuffing box...should taste good anyway! Happy belated...mine's tomorrow, I'm hoping some new boxcars arrive!
After I click on "Add attachments" a box comes up that only reads:
You can upload photos, videos, audio and files. Please note that there is a file size limit of 25 MB (100 MB for audio and videos).
I can only click on cancel after that. Am I missing something?
Sam
You're missing the link above that says "Upload Files", that will allow you to browse for the pictures or other files to attach to the message.
Thanks Gunrunnerjohn. You're right, I am totally missing that. I have exactly what you show above in the "file chooser" box, but there isn't even space for the upload files link to click on. On the bottom there's only cancel.
Click where John showed you. It'll open another window where you need to choose the files you want. Once you've chosen them, they will upload . Then you can hit finished.
On my screen there is no link anywhere in the box where John shows. The box I get looks the exact same, but no link, and not even the space for a link to be there even if it wanted to be there.
Did you "click" on the spot John showed you? Nothing happens until you do.
I am trying to post pictures from my iPad. The message I get is I must download flash...will not work on this device. I cannot download from photobucket either for the same reason. Is there a way around this?

Trainbug,
Check that you have add-ins enabled in Safari. Here's the Apple support link which describes how to do it.
That should resolve the problem.
I thought iPads couldn't run Flash.
Ipads and Iphones cannot run flash.
see this thread: https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/t.../iphone-pic-in-reply
At the very bottom I posted instructions for the method I use for posting pictures on the forum.
I use Windows or an Android phone, works fine.
