Our club received a donation of a New York Central F3 A/B set. That's the good news. BUT they are both non-powered dummies. We have two powered Santa Fe F3s. The colors from the frames/trucks are different. I know that just swapping shells  is easy-peasy.

Is there a difference in the frames; powered vs non-powered? Will the drive components swap to the frame of the non-powered? And are the side trucks easily moved between the two?

Thanks

They were interchangeable on some postwar F3s I used to have, but there were some many slight variations made over the years that for all I know some might be different.  In my case I recall putting together several good units from a greater number of older used one bought at a swap meet, and moving the truck sides was quite easy.  I'd try it and see if they fit - I would expect they will.
