The station is a copy of Lionel's 840 from the prewar era. A quick internet search yields that Lionel's largest accessory is a massive 26"L x 21.5"W x 18"H. MTH webpage here.
Note that it was also reproduced by T-reproductions. Some MTH/ LCT/ Lionel reproductions have operating smoke. As designed, there is room for two step transformers inside, and knife switches are provided to operate several accessories. Additional info here and elsewhere.

I agree it seems low.  Pictures look nice.  It's a reputable seller on that sale page.  If I didn't already have one,  I'd buy it. 

But as we all know,  it's a buyers market for a multitude of reasons.  I see really nice original 115 stations under $100. Sure weren't when I was looking! 

My 840 came from California to Michigan.  I don't remember the exact shipping,  but it wasn't cheap.
