Godspeed Chuck. Peace and comfort for his family and friends. The whistles will sound for you tonight. I always made a point of stopping by and seeing Chuck at York. He was always in a good mood and having fun!

I didn't know Trainpop (Chuck) but I see quite a few did and he touched everyone that knew him.

A memorial service was held for Chuck last weekend.
He was fondly remembered by family and friends. Many of pieces of things close to Chuck’s heart were on display. Notice the bottom left, and top right of the attached picture. You will all be forever in Trainpop’s heart.

Wow, how did I miss this? Chuck and I had so many wonderful conversations over the years. Both former New Yorkers, he always reminded me that he wished he had gone to my high school, Cardinal Hayes in The Bronx. He was a true patriot and a great train friend. God rest his soul.
Chuck, a Vietnam Vet, was finally laid to rest today in Arlington National Cemetary.
The folks at Arlington couldn’t have been nicer, or more professional.
