Hi, Interested in these things. I have a few and am looking for a few more. Projects, parts, or masses of junk are what I may be after. Right now looking for cylinders, siderods and drivers for a CLW (Saginaw) PRR H10 2-8-0. I've got the boiler and tender kits along with the frame. I'm missing everything from the first two sections other than the frame. Would prefer earlier drivers, not the epoxy cent variety. Also particularly looking for Scalecraft Hudson parts right now, siderods etc. Scalecraft or other driver raw castings.

Where you do you find these obscure locos and rolling stock ?
Sometimes dumb luck honestly. They come up on ebay and you have to know what you are looking at. If you do a search on the forum for those names you can see what some. Can look like. Mostly they were kits and so build quality varies. That said, they are unique and interesting!

Don't encourage him! You should see what his workbench looks like.

Ha ha!Loves to find some cool esoteric stuff and share it on the forum!
Lmao, you want to see my work bench?
Those are three Scalecraft K4 pacifics and a bronze cast Hudson from an unkown manufacturer at the top of the second photo.
Below is the middle K4 as I received it and before I took it apart for re-working.

Scalecraft? Wow, now you're really going back. I seldom come across the stuff but you occasionally see it at the O scale NMRA shows. Some of their engines were nice looking but basic mechanically and two rail.
These engines are hard to find today but the demand is low. I doubt if they were that popular even back in the 1930's. I believe that Scalecraft was based out of Chicago and made rolling stock kits as well. I have a nice station kit that was made from an original Scalecraft prints. It was assembled but it was too big for my layout. Its now a conversation piece.
