Here are a few lots for sale that will be worthwhile projects. The items are nice, not reclamation projects, but they do need some work, so here's your chance for some pretty nice Lionel PreWar items for a bargain + a little work. Pictures below.

257 Loco & Tender c1930's
This is really nice, and I used to run it on my layout. About two years ago an issue arose, the wheels would bind on an s-curve, and further inspection revealed that one of the drive wheels was slipping on the axel causing it to come out of quarter thus binding the drive rod. I've been meaning to fix it, but, if I haven't gotten to it in this time, I need to pass it on to someone who will have the time to do the work.
$100 + shipping.

812 Gondola and 814 Furniture Box Car SOLD
Really not much to do with these. The 814 is pretty nice, the brake wheel on one end is a little loose, The gondola just needs a new latch coupler.
$25 for both + shipping

Williams-ives Passenger set with NH 1694 electric. SOLD
This repro set is was the first offering from Williams back in 1973. Its a copy of the famous Ives set from 1931…that is impossible to find.
1694 engine, has a Lionel motor put in it, runs fine. Missing one brakewheel, replacements readily available.
1696 mail car
1695 passenger car
1697 observation car
All cars light. Condition on all pieces is very good, some chips and scratches as it has been run. Individual Williams boses for each piece.
Set $350 + shipping. $300 + Shipping

Postwar 2026 engine SOLD
This one is in parts, in a box I had labeled "needs e-unit". It's another train that used to run often when I had more time for these. Everything is there. If anybody's interested I'll photograph the contents.
$20 + shipping

let me know if you are interested by emailing tjsprague@comcast.net (don't rely on comments posted here getting to me, I'm pretty busy and on the road much these days. All items will be well packed. Look for some really nice tinplate freight and passenger sets I'll list in the next day or two.
