I know this sounds like herasy but I'd like to be able to walk around the room while still controlling my standard gauge trains. For power I'm using a Z type transformer as some of my old cranky engines sometimes need 22 to 23 volts to get moving. If I wanted to go remote control would I use a Cab1 and a powermaster? And would this be compatible with the Type Z transformer? Also would I be able to set up running 2 trains at once on separate loops? I've never had anything but conventional transformers with blocks to control power routing so this is all new to me.
Heresy indeed !!! Need to find a stake strong enough and collecting the firewood.
I keep a Type A on hand for voltage hungry old engines. Four A's = one Z, but easier to handle.
Can any of today's electronic inconveniences handle something so dangerous as voltages over 20 ?
I use to use a postwar ZW and TMCC with a TPC300 to run a standard gauge set I had up on a shelf.
