PREWAR TRUCKS ?

I have a couple 2800 series freight cars,when matched up to the new mth 2800 series ,prewar trucks are alot lower,couplers will not line up.what type of truck frame would i need to match.noticed some prewar are higher trucks ,seem to have 2 vertical triangular cutouts on the side frame,the lower ones have a parallel notch,which are on mine.can anyone explain,and if anyone has any higher frames they would like to sell.

Earlier 800 series trucks are higher. Around 1940 they went to the lower truck. It was cheaper and considered more realistic.Check ebay for some high trucks.
