I swapped out a PS2 5V board with one I had that works without sound.  When I added the engine after the swap it shows the old engine info.  I downloaded the sound file thinking this may change the engine id info.  The sound file loaded fine and I did a factory reset on the engine.  When I powered it back up it still came up with the old engine info. Can anybody tell me where this info is kept and if you can update it.

as far as the no sound your audio amp might be blown or dead. the ic amp can easily be replaced i have them in stock by an asc tech! i could replace your chip and  using service loader assign your board a engine number  and what you want assigned for the remote to see! once the loader is assigned your id with stay in you engine board even if you reset the board!
